T HE S TRUGGLE W ITH THE M INISTER’S S EED It should come as no surprise that some of the adversary’s chief targets are the children of anyone who is in ministry, especially the sons of ministers. I believe one reason is the spiritual principle God established among the Levites, that the blessing and office of ministry were handed down to the next generations of sons—from fathers to sons. There is a definite threat to the kingdom of darkness from children raised under the influence of godly and anointed biblical instruction, especially when they lived in the home of the minister. If a minister’s children—male and female—obey the spiritual instruction, then the minister has successfully duplicated himself to carry on his ministry following his death. His words and influence will continue expanding to future generations. The only way for the enemy to prevent this transfer is by either disrupting the destiny of a child through sin and disobedience or by setting up circumstances that lead to a premature death through accident. I have personally known of at least eight great men of God (some are internationally known) whose firstborn sons passed away through different circumstances (between the ages of sixteen to thirty-five).
