F ROM THE VERY outset of human time, there has been an unexplainable battle over the firstborn. Part of this conflict stems from the special genealogical birthright and spiritual blessing that marked the firstborn from the moment of their births. For some reason, the adversary has a great hatred toward the firstborn and often sets a target upon them from the moment of birth—especially firstborn sons. T HE L AW OF THE F IRST On the first day of Creation God separated the light from the darkness (Gen. 1:4–5).
