Apostolic Times Behold, you despisers, marvel and perish! For I work a work in your days, a work which you will by no means believe, though one were to declare it to you (Acts 13:41). Look among the nations and watch—Be utterly astounded! For I will work a work in your days which you would not believe, though it were told you (Hab. 1:5). Paul quoted the prophecy of Habakkuk in describing what was taking place in the book of Acts. It was a warning to the Jews who would not believe the numbers of Gentiles that God would receive by their faith. It was something so new and awesome that there was a danger of despising it. Habakkuk told them to look out among the heathen and wonder. God was about to do something in the nations of the world that would be unbelievable. This verse describes what takes place during apostolic times. No one would doubt that the book of Acts describes what took place during apostolic times. What Habakkuk stated, however, can happen at any time—and it is happening today. God is working in the nations of the world. We are looking out among the nations and seeing what we may not have believed several years ago. This is why I say we are now living in apostolic times. Apostolic times are seasons in which God releases an apostolic spirit to the Church. God begins to raise up apostolic leaders and apostolic churches. This is always in response to prayer, and this is what is happening today. Apostles are being positioned in every nation to reap an end-times harvest.
