2 T HE R ESTORATION OF A POSTOLIC M INISTRY Repent therefore and he converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that He may send Jesus Christ, who was preached to you before, whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God has spoken by the mouth of all His holy prophets since the world began. A CTS 3:19-21 These verses speak of times of refreshing and times of restoration. There are seasons when God refreshes His people, and also seasons when God restores truths and ministries that have been lost through sin, neglect and tradition. We are now in a time of restoration (or "restitution," as the King James Version reads) of apostolic ministry to the Church. The word restitution comes from the Greek word apokatastasis, meaning to reconstitute in health, home or organization—to restore again. As you read this book, keep in mind that God wants to bring restoration and restitution to your life, in personal areas as well as in areas of ministry. Pray and ask God to help you identify these areas as you read, and then make yourself available for God to work that restoration in and through you to others. A Necessary Change To restore means to bring back into existence or use; to reestablish, to bring back to an original condition. It means to
