False Apostles and Prophets: Those Who Are Not Sent And the Lord said to me, "The prophets prophesy lies in My name. I have not sent them, commanded them, nor spoken to them" (Jer. 14:14). I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied (Jer. 23:21). For they prophesy falsely to you in My name; I have not sent them, says the Lord (Jer. 29:9). Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, "We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches." Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. And the evil spirit answered and said, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?" (Acts 19:13-15). Demons recognized both Jesus and Paul because they were sent ones. The spirit realm must recognize and contend with the power and authority of sent ones. Sent ones have the ability to impact the spirit realm. On the other hand, demons don't recognize those who are not sent. Prayer Releases the Apostolic Anointing (Spirit) Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest (Matt. 9:38). Then He said to them, "The harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few; therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest" (Luke 10:2).
