The sent one feeds and preserves. He sent a man before them—Joseph— Who was sold as a slave. They hurt his feet with fetters, He was laid in irons. Until the time that his word came to pass, The word of the LORD tested him. The king sent and released him, The ruler of the people let him go free. And teach his elders wisdom (Ps. 105:17-22, italics added). Joseph was made a ruler in Egypt. The apostolic dimension has resident within it the ability to rule. Joseph was given authority over Egypt's wealth. He had the wisdom necessary to rule over Pharaoh's possessions. The apostolic dimension gives the Church the wisdom to rule over the earth. Joseph was also given authority to bind Pharaoh's princes. Binding and loosing is another function of the apostolic anointing. To bind means to arrest, stop, hinder or tie up. Binding is necessary to stop the works of darkness. Apostolic authority is needed to arrest, stop, hinder and tie up the powers of darkness that attempt to hinder the advance of the kingdom of God. Demons must recognize the authority of sent ones. When the Church receives and walks in the apostolic dimension, there will be an increase of authority in binding. Joseph was also given the responsibility to teach Pharaoh's senators wisdom. Teaching is another manifestation of the apostolic dimension. Sent ones release wisdom into the Church for ruling and administrating. This is a governmental wisdom needed in the local church.
