Dr. Sellars drew up the Manifesto’s first draft, which served as the essential frame and basis for the final formulations.... “A large proportion of the Unitarian churches in the United States are acknowledgedly Humanist.” Just in 1990, the American Humanist Association (AHA) held their annual meeting which was covered in the “RELIGION” section of the St. Petersburg Times. As Dr. Dennis Cuddy writes: “...the evidence that humanism constitutes a religion is, in fact, overwhelming.
