Masonic & Occult Symbols Illustrate

The labyrinth is used in the Eastern Star. We are told that the LABYRINTH “was made to conform to the idea of a FIVE POINTED STAR, WITHIN A COMPLETE CIRCLE.” A witch, Laurie Cabot, explains that the “CIRCLE AROUND THE PENTAGRAM represents the totality of all intelligence. It is the SIGN FOR THE GOD AND GODDESS, the fullness of cosmic intelligence.” Albert Pike mentions that a LABYRINTH “WAS BUILT IN HONOR OF THE SUN....” We also learn that some labyrinths were designed with the purpose of luring devils into them so that they might never escape.

The labyrinth is also one of the symbols of the goddess, which is interesting knowing that the original names of the five Eastern Star women were actually names of goddesses. How appropriate, then, to use one of the goddess’ symbols!
