A Dictionary of Symbols claims; “The thunderbolt is held to be an emblem of sovereignty. The winged thunderbolt expresses the ideas of power and speed. Jupiter’s three thunderbolts symbolize chance, destiny and providence—the forces that mould the future....The vajra, the Tibetan symbol for both ‘thunderbolt’ and ‘diamond’, is also connected with the world-axis....It is also related to the glance from the third eye of Shiva (or Siva), the destroyer of all material forms.” [Italics in the original; Boldface added] The thunderbolt, in the form of the dordj, “is used by the lamas and bonzes to bless the faithful, and to exorcise demons.” As just noted, it is also related to the third eye of Shiva. The third eye is covered in the chapter on the “All-Seeing Eye,” but it should be noted, according to The Satanic Bible, that Shiva is another name for Satan. Shiva carries the trisula (or trident, which is referred to as the Caduceus of India) and Jupiter’s thunderbolt was three-forked. The number three is very important in Masonry and the occult. A Masonic author, John T. Lawrence, reminds us: “Thus we [the Masons] have three degrees, three great lights, three lesser lights, three principal officers, three assistant officers, three sets of three working tools, three steps, three pillars, three ornaments, three articles of furniture, three movable jewels and
