Marine Demons

The Lord is exposing Leviathan, king of pride. There are many stories in ancient lore concerning fire breathing dragons. Mythology refers to this creature. I believe these myths and stories are representative of this spiritual being, Leviathan. The ancients had contact with the spirit realm and often portrayed what they knew through their literature and folklore. You may say, "Pastor Eckhardt, that's ridiculous! I don't believe it!" But I didn't believe it either until I encountered Leviathan in deliverance and studied the Word of God. Out of his mouth go burning lamps, and sparks of fire leap out. (Job 41:19) The American Baptist translation says, "From his mouth go flames, and sparks of fire escape." A dragon was a legendary monster in the folklore of many lands. It was often described as having a winged, snake-like body armed with strong claws and a barbed tail, and spouting fire from its nostrils (New Standard Encyclopedia). In some regions, and particularly in the Orient, the dragon was regarded as well-disposed toward mankind. Another important reference to Leviathan and fire can be found when Apostle James refers to the tongue as a little member that boasteth great things (James 3:5). This is an obvious reference to pride manifesting through the tongue. James then goes on to say "how great a matter a little fire kindleth." The tongue sets on fire the course of nature (James 3:6). Leviathan can manifest through the tongue in boasting, lying and cursing. For the sin of their mouth and the words of their
