3 Jesus Comes to the Sea Coast

The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up. (Matthew 4:15-16) This was a fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy. Jesus came to the region of Zebulon and Naphtali. The people in that region were in great darkness and affliction. Zebulon was to be a haven of ships and to border Zidon (Gen. 49:13). Zebulon was to suck the abundance of the seas and treasures hid in the sand (Deut. 33:19). The sea was created by God to be a blessing. The land of Zebulon had now come under a curse. This is because the people of God did not obey and eventually went into bondage. This area had become a stronghold of marine spirits. Jesus goes into this stronghold and begins to cast out devils and heal the sick. Jesus rebuked the winds on the sea and came walking on the sea.
