physical prostration before God. When John saw the vision of Christ in Revelation 1:17, he "fell at his feet as one dead." In the four gospels, people who needed a miracle would fall at the feet of Jesus! It was customary in the Middle East for a guest to remove his shoes when he entered the house, and the woman of the house would bring a basin and wash his feet. To exemplify the need for humility in a believer's life, Jesus, the Creator of the universe, washed the feet of His disciples. To wash someone's feet, one must bend down in an act of humility. The time has come to return to some all-night prayer meetings, where we lie on the floor in the presence of God, worshiping at His feet. If we do so, we can arise from the floor knowing we have been changed! We could call it a "Jacob encounter". The old patriarch didn't like what he saw in himself. So he wrestled an angel until sunrise. By the time it was over, he had a new name and a different walk. It's time to get down on the threshing floor with Boaz. I T C AME TO P ASS AT M IDNIGHT Midnight is the turning point. Changes occur at midnight! The death angel came into Egypt at midnight (Exodus 12). Paul and Silas sang at midnight until the walls of the prison were shaken to the ground (Acts 16:25).
