People get frustrated and disgusted and begin to retaliate against those they are close to, and say, "I'll show them. I'll change churches. I'll show them, I'll go somewhere else." They leave before the appointed time and wind up miserable, missing the many blessings God had reserved for them. Years ago, my father pastored a wonderful church in Virginia. Two members gave him problems, but the rest of the congregation were jewels. Dad allowed those two men to discourage him until he reached the point of deciding to move. He ended up going to five different churches over a period of about 12 years. These were good churches and good people, but he was never again fulfilled in pastoring. He often said, "I should have waited on the Lord. I should not have been so hasty." Never make a decision to change the fields of labor just because another offer seems better, or because you are tired of where you are.
