When he reminds us of our past, it hinders our progress into the future. Often, condemning feelings of guilt cloud our vision.

People say, "If I had only done this, or if I hadn't done that." God is in the NOW! Hebrews 11:1 says: "NOW faith is." He cannot determine your future, so Satan tries to make you a prisoner of your past. When we live in the graveyard of the past, Satan torments us! Boaz wanted to be sure Ruth's past was not brought up as she moved forward into the blessings prepared for her! He marked the spot where she was to work. When she was looking away, reapers would throw sheaves of grain on the ground near her feet—a sign of favor. The "boss" was recognizing her hard work and the commitment she had made. Without asking, she got additional grain anyway. B LESSED O N P URPOSE Boaz was blessing her on purpose! He was telling her, "You are a special person and I want to show you my appreciation
