For example, a mortgage is inscribed or “recorded” in a public record, usually in a Book of Mortgages. INSECURITY CLAUSE A clause in a contract or other instrument which permits a party who becomes concerned about the other party's performance to require either immediate payment or performance or the deposit of sufficient collateral to protect against future loss or damage.
