Pesticide Policy The Center will post a sign notifying parents of our intent to use pesticides 48 hours in advance. There will be no notification if pesticides are used on a weekend. Child Abuse and Neglect Staffs at Kingdom Learning Academy are mandatory reporters for child abuse and neglect. Any instance when staff has reason to suspect the occurrence of any physical, sexual or emotional child abuse or neglect, child endangerment or child exploitation must be reported to the appropriate authorities, as required under Kingdom Family Learning Center Church. If there is immediate danger to a child, the Center will make a report to local law enforcement. We are required to cooperate with authorities if they come to the Center to visit with a child. However, we will always request that the teacher be present with the child to help ease the child’s concern and that the parent or guadiane will be contacted…. We are required to report immediately: A death or a serious injury or illness that requires medical treatment or hospitalization of a child in care. This must be reported by telephone and in writing to the parents, licensor, and child’s social worker if applicable, and reported to Child Protective Services (CPS) or (DCF). Any instance where a staff member has reason to suspect the occurrence of any abuse or neglect as stated above. If there is immediate danger to a child. Any occurrence of food poisoning or reportable communicable disease, as required by the state board of health, to the local public health department and to the licensor, by telephone.
