6 P ROVISION FOR A LL B LESSINGS IS F OUND IN THE A TONEMENT

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich. 2 C ORINTHIANS 8:9 (NKJV) ne of the most unique insights you will ever learn is that God is concerned about every area of your life and not just the spiritual aspect. Our spiritual, redemptive blessings are provided as a ladder to eternity and a ticket to heaven. However, we presently live on a planet filled with wickedness, and we need God’s favor and intervention in the emotional, physical and provisional areas of our lives. O Through Christ’s atoning work, all areas of life are secured, including eternal life (Jude 21). By definition, the atonement is the spiritual work that was accomplished for us through the sufferings of Christ. By His atonement He bought pardon for our sins and reconciled mankind back to God (Col. 1:20). According to the Messianic prophecy recorded in Isaiah 53, Jesus Christ suffered to bring forth a threefold reconciliation that impacts the threefold nature of each human being—the body, soul and spirit (1 Thess. 5:23). The first and highest level of the atonement brings redemption to our soul and spirit. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.
