As believers read, study, and feed from the Word of God, their spiritual hunger and thirst will be satisfied. The Word of God is “quick, and powerful” (Heb. 4:12, KJV ). These two words mean “alive and energized.” I have more than fifty thousand hours of Bible study, research, and reading of thousands of books; I have often said that some people need a drug to get them high, but my high comes from receiving a nugget or insight from God’s Word that I was unaware of! The answers on how to believe, how to pray, how to treat others, and how to give and be a blessing are all found in the Bible. The new covenant is established on promises, and you can live a victorious life when you plant the seed of the Word in you and allow it to mature and bring forth fruit of righteousness. Many believers, however, have never learned to hear that still small voice within and to follow those little nudges and sudden inner urges. The Holy Spirit directs and leads us from inside our spirit. Because baby believers may struggle with understanding and hunger to hear from the Lord, they can easily become caught up with a person who allegedly is giving out personal prophecies . A personal prophecy is usually spoken by someone who has labeled himself or herself as a prophet or a prophetess . I am a fourth-generation minister and have a very solid heritage in the truth of the Word, and I have seen about every type of spiritual fruit and nut that has ever popped out of the Christian garden. I have heard from deluded individuals who claimed they were Elijah or one of the two witnesses of Revelation 11. I have read the letters of selfacclaimed prophets who said if I did not send them money, I would be under a
