How to Interpret Dreams and Visions Perry Stone
That’s when the wicked king got an earful! Micaiah saw a vision in which the angels of heaven were gathered on the left and right side of God’s throne. The prophet saw where God was going to set up Ahab to be slain in the battle by permitting a “lying spirit” to deceive all of the palace’s false prophets and set up Ahab to believe their lying prediction of victory (2 Chron. 18:1–27). I call this the battle of the dueling prophets . One alleged prophet, Zedekiah, slapped Micaiah on the face and demanded to know, “Which way did the spirit from the Lord go from me to speak to you?” (v. 23). One man was predicting a great victory and the other was predicting death. One was going to be correct and the other proven a liar. God’s prophet won the duel!
