REVELATIONS If you experience a dream in which the Lord calls you a son or daughter and an angel brings you a message from the Lord, always remember that messages from heaven will always agree with the Holy Scriptures. I am an avid reader of all types of books, news articles, and commentaries. I recall reading a lengthy article months ago in which a noted Christian seer was claiming visitations from an angel that was giving her important information from varied “heavenly sources.” There was a major problem, however, because her “messages” indicated that there were other sources of redemption outside of Jesus Christ. She was actually preaching the traditions that can be found among some who claim that there is a secondary source of intercession and forgiveness of sins besides Christ. At this point, any alleged messenger is not from the Lord. This is why Paul wrote: But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed. —G ALATIANS 1:8–9
