After months of prayer he heard a knock at the door. He opened it to see a bright-eyed man who said, “I heard you are praying for your son. My name is Faith, and you have to send me to where he is and believe with all your heart he is returning.” The dad released Faith and began believing as never before for his son’s breakthrough. Several months later Faith returned to inform the dad, “I tried, but he is so full of unbelief he wore me out.” The father, however, continued to pray. Soon thereafter another knock was heard at the door. This time another man stood there whose name was Hope. He stated, “Sir, Faith sent me here to tell you not to give up on your son. You must not lose hope. Send me and hope for the best!” The father then sent Hope and filled his heart with anticipation of a good outcome. Months later Hope retuned with his report, saying, “I found your son, but he is so hard hearted. I don’t want to say it’s hopeless, but I have no strength left for him.” The father of the lad broke down and began weeping. In a few moments a knock came, and there stood another man with beautiful eyes full of compassion. He said, “Sir, Faith and Hope sent me here to assist you. My name is Love, and you must love the lad unconditionally. Send love to him—as no one can resist unconditional love.” The father was recharged with excitement, and Love went out to the son and reminded him of the love his mother and father had for him, reminding him of all the great times they had as a family. Yet the son was deceived in thinking that the harlots he was joining with were his true loves. He rejected the love of his own family. Love returned
