First with Asher, the adversary would never produce a royal seed, as the Messiah would be both a priest and a king—from the seed of David! With Gad, the enemy would from time to time overcome God’s people, but God’s people (Gad) would overcome the adversary in the end! The theme of Issachar is more complicated, but simply Issachar could bow his shoulders and bear (carry) a burden, but the adversary is a burden maker and not a burden bearer.
