Breaking The Jewish Code Perry Stone
If you are to become a specialist in any field, you need a passion for your dream and a burden if you accept a calling from God to enter the ministry. In the business world, executives will pay you for the problems you solve—not the ones you make! “Discretion will preserve you; understanding will keep you” (Prov. 2:11). Bosses are less likely to fire the person whose knowledge is valuable for increasing growth and income. “He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding is of a calm spirit” (Prov. 17:27). Pursue with a passion the things that excite you and capture your imagination. Perry’s Insight #2—Make wise investments and purchases. The best investment is one that carries a positive return. Too much money is wasted on high-priced items that will be sold in a future yard sale for a few dollars. However, when spending substantial amounts of money, the buyer should consider the future value or resale value of the items purchased. One of my hobbies is attending community auctions, usually two or three times a year. I will only purchase something if I can use it or if it will maintain and increase in value. My youngest sister, Melanie, has sold some of my auction items on her eBay site just for fun. I once purchased several old toys, including about fifty Hot Wheels cars for $70. Melanie sold the cars for nearly $500. Because of my focus on ministry, I do not have time to sell items such as this, but I give Melanie a commission after the sale. If you are investing in stocks, bonds, or treasuries, never depend solely upon the words of one person. Study and learn
