He rebuked the demon in the name of Jesus, but it just kept on coming at him. He said that then he remem bered about the armor of God." 'T.G. told me that he didn’t have the faith to just stand there without anything in front of him, so he held up the pillow saying, ’See this, this is the shield of the Lord. You cannot touch me because I am protected by Jesus.’" "The demon just laughed and said, ’You think that little pil low is going to protect you from me? I’ll show you!’" "Then the demon proceeded to reach out and claw at the pillow viciously. The pillow was torn to shreds, but the demon could not reach beyond it! Although T.G. could not see it, clearly there was a shield in front of him! Try as the demon might, he could not get through that invisible shield! After a few moments, he gave up and disappeared. T.G. came over and showed me the shredded pillow the next morning. He told me that in all his years in the craft he would never have attempted to ward off a demon with just a pillow! But praise the Lord, behind that pillow was a very real shield! The precious shield of his faith in his new master, Jesus Christ! If only Christians would realize the reality of the spirit world and of God’s armor, there would be many more victories against Satan’s kingdom." Joyce nodded soberly.
