Chapter 5

THE ARMOR OF GOD As the last dryer clicked off, silence dropped like a blanket over the laundromat. Joyce jerked out of her thoughts, startled by the silence. She was folding her last load of laundry. She looked up and glanced around, to find that she was the only person left in the building. She was growing uneasy. Quickly she grabbed up the last of her clothes and plopped them into the basket without folding them. As she did so she heard the back door open. She glanced up and froze. There, just inside the door stood two very large young men. They stood side by side looking at her in silence. They radiated evil! "Oh Lord, HELP!" Joyce prayed. She grabbed up her bas ket of clothes and her car keys and headed for the front door. The two men by the back door did not move. As she hurried towards the front door, a white limousine pulled up in front of the laundromat. Two more large men walked up to the front door and took up positions one on each side of the door outside. "Lord help me get through!" Joyce cried out in her mind. Fear rolled over her in waves. As she reached the front door and stepped outside onto the sidewalk, the back door of the limousine opened and a woman stepped out. At first glance there was nothing
