APPENDIX A BREAKING UP FALLOW GROUND

“Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy. Break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek the Lord, till he come and rain righteousness upon you." Hosea 10:12

Do you feel a distance in your relationship with the Lord? Do you feel you are not where you should be with Him? Do you have difficulty praying? I would suggest you sit down and take a careful, prayerful look at your life. If you are in this condition, chances are you have sin in your life that you need to confess.

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” I John 1:8-9 “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. ” I John 2:1

I cannot emphasize enough the importance of keeping short accounts with God. Do not allow unconfessed sin to build up in your life. Nothing destroys your relationship with the Lord faster than unconfessed sin.
