Satanic Ritualistic Abuse More and more psychiatrists, psychologists and Christian workers are being faced with the problem of helping people who were abused in Satanic rituals. Some are still young, but most are adults who have survived the abuse. This is an area that is extremely difficult to deal with. Many times the adults will have an almost complete loss of memory of their childhood. Once again, I must say that this is an area where I still have more questions than answers. Each person I see helps me to learn more. I am going to give a case history here of a young woman I worked with recently to illustrate some of the problems faced, and my approach to deliverance. Lyn’s (not her real name) story: Lyn grew up a very troubled young woman, but it was not until she turned 25 that she began to find out why. During her high school years she took drugs continually and drank heavily as well. Finally, at the age of 19, some teens her age shared the gospel with her. She accepted Jesus Christ at the age of 19, but she continued to have terrible struggles. She quit taking everything except pot (marijuana). By the time she turned 21, the Lord convicted her that she had not made Jesus Christ the master in her life. It was at that time that she quit pot. Just quitting drugs was not the answer for Lyn. She con tinued to have struggles with deep depression and great dif ficulties in her spiritual walk. She attempted to commit suicide twenty times before the age of 25. She had continual and very painful problems physically with her reproductive Chapter 13 Deliverance of Those Involved in Satanism
