He knows very well that, if He dumped the con viction of the terribleness of their actions on them all at once, they would lose their mind. As the person grows stronger in the Lord, the Holy Spirit brings to them the con viction of their deeds. We Christian workers MUST under stand that these people have been through such terrible things, they cannot remember them all at once. It is normal for people coming out of Satanism to have significant am nesia. Total deliverance is usually not possible immediate ly because there is so much they will not remember. This is especially true in the case of the various inserts and episodes of ritual sex. We are weak human beings. Our minds can take only so much. Our Lord knows that. He does not push any of us beyond what we can stand. As they grow stronger and more secure in Christ, He will then release more and more of their memories. I have found that it takes a minimum of one year for anyone coming out of satanism to stabilize. During that year, the Lord will bring back to their memory more and more of the rituals and contracts in which they have been involved. Most of their demons can be kicked out at the beginning, but more and more will be revealed as they remember more of what they have participated in. It is important that, as these things are remembered, the people repent of them, confess them as sin and ask the Lord’s forgiveness and cleansing. Much healing comes when we repent and confess our sins. These people are wounded lambs in the Lord’s flock and must be tended with gentle firmness and great love.
