Becoming A Vessel Of Honor Rebecca Brown

142 As we forgive someone, we must also truthfully talk to the Lord, recognizing and admitting our true emotions in the situation. As we do this, we then have the right to ask the Lord to heal and change our emotions. He will do so as we walk in obedience to Him. I know I will make many of you reading this passage very angry, but I must tell you as the Lord taught me. You DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT to live your life reacting to past hurts. God DEMANDS that you forgive and forget and stop thinking about yourself and how you have been hurt. If you do not do so, you are living in active SIN! Lastly, we must all come to a maturity in Christ where we make James 4:17 a reality in our lives. "Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin." James 4:17 To put this in very simple terms, we must do the right thing simply because it IS the right thing to do, NOT because someone else demands it of us. If we would only reach this point, so many, many interpersonal relationship problems would simply disappear!
