136 Spirit to work in His disciples from the inside. Jesus made this possible by paying the price for our sins on the cross. When we are washed clean from our sins, then God Him self in the form of the Holy Spirit can enter into us and bring the power we need to overcome sin! If you have never gotten down on your knees and asked Father to completely fill you with His Holy Spirit to give you power to stop sinning, you need to do so. BUT, it is a two-way street. The more you saturate your mind with God’s word and put sin out of your life, the more freedom the Holy Spirit has to operate in your life with POWER. Please don’t fall into the trap of thinking that all you need is the Holy Spirit, that you don’t need to do anything your self. This just isn’t true. James sums it all up very simply:

"Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity [ex cess] of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted [planted] word, which is able to save your souls. But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway [immediately] for- getteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty [the Bible], and con- tinueth therein [lives in it] he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." James 1:21-25 "Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?" James 2:17-20
