They should also operate in an apostolic dimension by receiving the impartation available in the church. Their vision will also be apostolic. They will not be limited by the traditional concept of what it means to be an evangelist. They will operate in a higher level of revelation and power. Philip the evangelist came out of an apostolic community in Jerusalem and saw great breakthrough in Samaria. He ministered with an apostolic spirit. He was able to go into an area controlled by witchcraft and break through. He pioneered in evangelism into a new area. We need pioneering evangelists to be a part of breaking into new regions and territories. Apostles have the grace to release these gifts. God is the One that gives these gifts by His grace. The pastoral structure of many churches today hinders many evangelists from functioning. An apostolic vision is large enough to embrace them all. Furthermore, the apostle recognizes the need for these gifts. The vision is too large to complete without them. They should teach the church their importance and place within the church. Apostles stir evangelists through preaching and teaching, and help release them by faith. Evangelists must not draw back because of fear and tradition. They cannot wait for others, but must be willing to pioneer if necessary. They must trust in the grace of God to get the job done. Evangelists must be willing to suffer persecution and misunderstanding from religious people for the sake of establishing the truth. They must build by revelation, not
